Now,I did warn in my initial post that I would be updating on a somewhat infrequent basis but this is excessive. One month in and this is merely my second entry. Almost inexcussable.

However,in my defence I have the following factors.

Firstly. I have spent a portion of the last month without a computer to call my own. My trusty old PC finally gave up the ghost just shy of its fifth birthday. I’ve been having various issues with it over the last year but things I could live with like a lack of dvd-drives/floppy drive and periodic bouts of techno-lethargy. But I could cope with all of that until it decided it didn’t want to stay on for more than 25 minutes at a time. Under most circumstances this would be frustrating at best but when you consider the fact that I’m in a long distance relationship…yeah,creative swearing is called for.

Secondly my working life has been hectic to a degree that’s left me feeling drained and sometimes bruised. There’s been a host of issues I won’t bore you with here,suffice to say it’s been a major drain on my time and energy. Then there was the keg incident… An 11 gallon keg of Fosters lager versus my groin. “Ouch” doesn’t quite cover it. Somehow I managed to block the pain long enough to finish my shift,ant *Then* I curled up into a ball to hide in my private universe of pain that I wouldn’t wish on anyone. Over the following days I experienced bruising and tenderness in an area that’s already delicate.

Anyways,I’m gonna go now. I’ll play critic in my next post,I promise.

Welcome to the mildly insane and increasingly ecclectic world of me. I’m a 23 year old former architecture student who is now involved in bar management. I enjoy the creative arts of mixology and intend to expand upon this art form over the coming years. I also have a deep love of films,music and literature…so you can expect rants on occassion pertaining to these subjects. As an aside though,I’ve been reading on wordpress for a while now thanks to my GorgeousGirl (thus adorned since she’s landed me with the appellation of HotBoy) and while I will try to update this on a somewhat regular basis,I sincerely doubt I’ll be updating as frequently as my love or her friends.

Anyways,I think I’ve babbled enough for the moment so I’ll leave you with a quick top 5 recommendations.

 

1. www.questionablecontent.net  Seriously the funniest thing I have ever had the pleasure of reading. I have actually fallen off my chair at Pintsize’s antics.

2.  “I,Lucifer” by Glenn Duncan. A smart,witty and diabolically funny take on a variety of subjects,not least religion,the universe and the nature of man.

3. Classic 80’s kid’s movies like the Goonies,the Princess Bride and the Indiana Jones films. Sorry GorgeousGirl,but you badly need educating in this area.

4. Maker’s Mark Bourbon Whisky. Seriously. This amber nectar is just Heaven in a glass. I’ve drank a LOT of different whiskies over the years,some at $30/£15 a shot,and given the choice I’d go for the Maker’s.

5. Iron Man. After a string of dissappointing comic book movies it’s so good to see one done right again. I doubted Downey Jr when I first heard he’d been cast but I’m happy to have been proven wrong.
