now for a tiny bit of background,I’m a martial arts fan,and i’ve been training in brazilian jui jitsu off and on for a few years now. But recent months have been plagued with injuries. So here’s part one of my training blog.
I finally got back to training after being shelved with injuries for far too long. Since i’d heard about a jits class starting in my town,i figured i’d check it out at the first chance,and strolled onto the mats last night for an hour’s class followed by about 50 minutes of rolling. We worked on takedowns and sprawl during the class,so i got to have fun with head and arm chokes,then it was time to see how out of practice i was.
Ended up rolling with five or six guys,switching between sparring and helping them work on that content from the class. Highlights of rolling were the vinnyplata and catching one of the guys with a choke i’d created and been trying to visualise to work out the kinks with. All in all,a good night and i can’t wait to get back
